To recap the show, here are some of the points discussed:
-Low back pain affects almost everyone and can be fixed! There are many causes, but strengthening your core and increasing your hamstring flexibility and strength can be a good start to permanent healing.
-Knee injuries from skiing are often caused by an imbalance between the quad and hamstring muscles. Your strength ratio should be as close as 1:1, but most people are way too strong in their quads when compared to their hamstrings.
-Foods that are high in nutrient density are more satisfying as well. Researchers found that people who ate nutrient dense foods like dark greens and lean meat ate 300-500 calories less each day and felt more satisfied.
-Green tea has many immune benefits and can be a potent fat burner.
-Interval training has been shown to DOUBLE endurance in as little as 2 weeks with people who are already fairly fit! Results are even better in those who aren't so fit.
-Excessive alcohol not only makes it impossible to burn fat, it can also lead to many forms of cancers and brain damage. Women are even more susceptible than men.
-About half of all doctors regularly prescribe placebos. 96% believe that placebos can have a real therapeutic effect. Your brain really is that powerful!
